My supervision style is very interactive and one of support and guidance. I encourage supervisees to come prepared with questions and topics that they also would like to discuss, so that I can ensure that they are getting what they need out of each supervision. I will also often encourage supervisees to practice daily self-care and maintain appropriate boundaries, as I have found that it helps us to provide quality care to our clients and reduce burnout.

I graduated from Florida State University in 2011 with a Masters in Social Work and obtained my LCSW in 2017. While I am currently working as a Social Worker for a Managed Care Organization, the majority of my experience has been in mental health and providing individual/family therapy services to clients. I have experience working in both inpatient psychiatric hospitals as well as outpatient behavioral health clinics. I have also worked as an Adoptions Case Manager for a private organization and a Functional Family Therapist, contracting with the Department of Juvenile Justice.

I like to encourage my supervisees to develop their own case conceptualization of the clients they are working with. I offer guidance and suggestions as they develop their therapeutic relationships with their clients. I also like to discuss long term professional goals.

I have over 35 years of both clinical and supervisory experience both in the New Orleans area and in the San Francisco Bay Area. My areas of expertise include interpersonal violence, trauma, substance abuse disorders and the LGBTQ+ communities.
