About us

At BACSbook, we strive to uphold the Social Work Code of Ethics. Within our services, diversity in thought and perspectives is welcomed. As social workers, our professional and personal lives should be congruent with this standard. We will provide a respectful and non-discriminatory space and expect that the supervisory relationships that form as a result of this platform will embody the same qualities. Our hope is that supervision will be a space where social workers will hold each other to the highest standards of social work practice. We believe that challenging and brave conversations lead to more intentional, anti-biased and anti-racist social work practice.

Mary Cosper, LCSW-BACS, OSW-C, MPH

I have been a Social Worker in the New Orleans area since 2011. I moved to New Orleans to attend Tulane University where I earned my Master of Social Work and Master of Public Health. Most of my experience has been in medical social work, both in case management as well as outpatient in local Cancer Centers.

When not practicing social work, I enjoy spending time with my husband, Jon and our 2 young sons. You can often find us taking walks and bike rides along Bayou St John or eating at one of the delicious restaurants around the city.

I very much enjoyed my supervision experience and want to make sure that other Social Workers are able to find a supervisor who is in line with their professional interests and goals.

Carly Rogers, LCSW-BACS

I attended Louisiana State University where I earned my Master of Social Work in 2010. I am thankful for my experience in mental health and wraparound services, but my passion and the majority of my time has been spent providing school social work services.

Outside of my time spent practicing social work, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our two boys, my friends, and tending to my growing garden.

My hope is that BACSbook will allow supervisors and supervisees to connect and create meaningful supervision relationships that will enhance individual practice, and elevate the profession of social work in Louisiana.
